The mode match method is presented for the rigorous calculation of the scattering matrix of E-plane right angle junction for rectangular waveguides in this paper. This is important in some applications such as the corner matching problem and the beam forming networks. The result is verified by the related literature and the Hewlett Packard High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS).
