In this paper, the features of the electronic design automation(EDA) technique are introduced. The simulation and optimization, thermal design and reliability prediction, layout and routing of the microcircuits with EDA technique are described in detail. The application of EDA in the design of microcircuits raises greatly the design efficiency and quality, lowers the times of reworking, and assures the high performance, high reliability, high density and low cost of microcircuits.
