In all algorithms for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging, the focusing quality is the key to the SAR imaging. Based on the mathematical model for collecting and processing SPOTLIGHT SAR data, the performance of two algorithms for SPOTLIGHT SAR imaging (polar format algorithm, PFA; range migration algorithm, RMA) is compared and analyzed with results of computer simulation.
