This paper describes a method, which combines genetic algorithm with dynamic search technology, to optimize the nonlinear FM pulse compression chirp waveform. Comparison with traditional methods, this method can result in a lower peak sidelobe and better tolerance to Doppler shift by seaxching optimal parameters, especially in small time bandwidth product systems.
