This paper simply introduces the production background, applying domain and development prospect of Spectral-Domain approach. Plane wave spectrum as the basis knowledge of antenna research is introduced in detail. As an example, the radiated patterns of the coaxial multi-mode horn of two chokes are calculated and the results are agreed with the measured results. It shows that the analysis method in the paper is proper and effective.
