简要地介绍了分形几何的有关概念，提出了一种利用海杂波的分数维估计检测海上目标的方法。实验证明，本文所述方法具有一定的实用价值。

The concept of fractal geometry is introduced simply in this paper. A method for detection of sea-surface targets is presented using fractal dimension estimation from sea scattered signals. Experimental results show that the method is practical.
