In this paper,a system of advanced X-band Doppler weather radar with Dual-linear polarization capability is described and the primary technology is discussed. Application of the experiment radar to observe the precipitation and intensity distribution ,and the precipitation ,hail ,snow signature are recorded and analysed.The test result shows that this system has a compact structure and good performance.
