In the presence of narrow-band interference (NBI), the performance of direct spread-spectrum systems (DSSS) can be improved by using various interference rejection filters. In this paper, the application of a second-order adaptive lattice IIR notch filter for rejection of NBI in DSSS is analyzed . Closed-form analytical expressions for signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), improvement factor and bit error ratio (BER) of the system are derived. Results of the analysis are varified computer simulations.
