This paper analyzes the characteristics of targets scattering trait changing with range. According to various scattering traits, we classify them into far field scattering, quasi near field and near field, and discuss the describe means of this three cases. The paper advances in the near field, being part of the scattering system, the antenna cant be ignored, and the concept of reflected power ratio is more adaptive to describe the traits of scattering target directly.
