The 2nd generation power module of Vicor is a kind of DC/DC converter mogdule having high efficiency and high reliability. The principle and characteristics of it are analyzed and described in this paper. The solution to attaining a large capacitive load at output is given. Some methods of series and parallel connection for the use of the power supply module are introduced and two representative application examples are given.
