Analysis the main factors of producing array errors which are mutual coupling among sensors, sensor position uncertainties, channel mismatch and their effect on direction-finding. Then get the theory calculating formula. Spatial smoothing technique and improved spatial smoothing technique are put forward to calibrate array errors. The computer simulation results demonstrate that they are correct and effective.
