Multi-beam formation technologies have been developed steadily in phased array antenna area.The application of multi-beam formation technologies in different phased array radars especially in new advanced phased array radars is discussed in this paper.The benefits of adopting multi-beam formation technologies for improving radar detection performances and ECCM capability are discussed as well in the paper.
