For decades of development efforts,great progress has been made in the Airborne Early Warning(AEW) radar technology.The state of art of foreign AEW radar was first introduced in this paper.Development trend was then analyzed in terms of the technique problems of AEW radar in the new operation situation.Finally,some suggestions were given for the development of AEW radar.
