提出了一种覆盖Ka 卫星通信全频段带宽的正交模耦合器设计,实现了相对带宽54%的突破。该正交模耦合器基于turnstile 十字转门型结构,结合后端弯波导、Y 型合成头和45毅扭波导设计,能够满足两路正交极化信号等相输出,设计使用频率内双端口S11 <-20 dB,端口隔离达到50 dB,交叉极化低于-50 dB,插入损耗优于0. 4 dB。

A new design of ortho-mode transducer(OMT) which can cover the full required bandwidths of Ka band satellite communication applications is presented. Its relative bandwidth is up to 54%. Based on the formal structure of turnstile junction, and combining with the perfect design of bend waveguide、Y-type waveguide combiner and two 45twist waveguides, the OMT can output two orthogonal-polarized signals with the same phase. Finally, its design result shows that the two output ports S parameter S11 in required bandwidth is less than -20 dB, the port isolation level achieves 50 dB, its cross polarization value is less than -50dB,and the insertion loss is better than 0. 4 dB level.
