针对四脊喇叭馈源在高频区域照射效率急剧下降,进而导致馈源工作带宽受限的问题,文中提出了一种介质加载超宽带四脊喇叭馈源。研究表明:四脊喇叭中央加载的介质棒能够起到稳定四脊喇叭高频区相心位置和展宽高频区波束宽度的作用,从而将原四脊喇叭馈源的工作带宽从5 个倍频程扩展到10 个倍频程。该馈源反射系数低于-10 dB,用于照射焦径比为0. 36 的10 m 反射面天线,整个频带内天线口面效率高于50%。

In ordinary quad-ridged flared horn (QRFH) feed, the illuminating efficiency will drop sharply as the operating frequency increases, which leads to a limited operation bandwidth. A dielectrical loading technology is proposed to solve this problem in this paper. The investigations show that the dielectric rod at the center of the QRFH could stabilize the phase center and widen the beam width, and thus expand the radiation bandwidth of the QRFH feed from 5:1 to 10:1. Simulated results show that the reflection coefficient is lower than -10 dB. When the feed is used to illuminate a 10 m diameter reflector (f / d = 0. 36), the aperture efficiency is higher than 50% across the whole bandwidth.
