频率源的相位噪声一直是设计师追求的目标,目前的工艺、器件、电路设计水平已很难提升常规微波频率源的相位噪声指标。文中从频率源相位噪声概念、成因等理论出发,对微波电路的相位噪声来源进行分析,对信号及相位噪声的特征进行阐述,研究了构成微波频率源中各类器件对相位噪声的影响及其特点,给出了实际设计中的建议。通过相位噪声的概念,针对不同源之间的信号及噪声相关特性,研究相位噪声提升方法,提出了通过多源合成来达到改善电路相位噪声的方法,并给出实验结果及工程化应用建议。

The phase noise of frequency source has always been one of the goals pursued by designers, and the phase noise performance of conventional microwave frequency source is hard to further improve with current levels of technology process, device and circuit design. Based on the theory of frequency source phase noise concept, cause, etc. the phase noise contribution of microwave circuits is analyzed and the characteristics of signal and phase noise are described. By studying the influence of various components of frequency source on phase noise, practical design suggestions are given in this paper. In order to improve phase noise performance, a method based on multi-source synthetizing is proposed according to the phase noise concept and the phase noise relevant characteristics between different frequency sources. In addition, the experimental results and engineering suggestions are also provided.
