双偏振多普勒天气雷达是当前使用最广的高精度气象雷达,采用不同偏振气象回波检测能够精细识别大气云雨特征,但是其雷达天线目前大多还是采用反射面天线,与相控阵天线相比,存在体制性的不足,较高的副瓣难以克服强干扰,波束固定不能压制近程地杂波,机械扫描方式难以完成快速的体扫描。针对这些问题,有必要研究双偏振天气雷达中的相控阵天线,经过努力,研制了双极化相控阵,成功用于我国第一部双偏振相控阵多普勒天气雷达,使雷达性能获得了很大的提高。文中简单介绍了该天气雷达中双极化相控阵的关键技术和研究进展,期望更多的行业专家了解它、支持它,使它更好地服务于我国的气象事业。

Polarimetric Doppler weather radar is used in most widely high-accuracy weather radar by now. The echo by using different polarized can be used to identify the characteristic of cloud and rain in detail. However the antennas used in polarimetric Doppler weather radar are almost reflector antennas. Compared with the phased array, there are systematically shortens such as weakness in suppression over the strong-interference caused by sidelobe, inability of depress ground clutter due to fixed lobe and slow scanning for cubic scan. Based on these problems, it is necessary to design the dual-polarized phased array in the polarimetric Doppler weather radar. Through more efforts, a dual-polarized phased array is manufactured and tested, and it is used successfully in the first polarimetric phased array Doppler weather radar in China and significantly increases the performance. In this paper, the key technology and development of dual-polarized phased array in the polarimetric Doppler weather radar is presented with hope that more experts get knowledge of it and give support to it, and make it deserve itself to weather forecasting better.
