有源频率选择表面(FSS)源于对无源FSS 加载有源器件,器件状态可变,因而可以调控有源FSS 的响应,例如通过调节反射系数相位,构成一种数字电磁信息表面, 该技术已经用于移动通信系统。如何增加传输功能,对阵列天线的回波进行调制,使相控阵功能更强,成为一个新的问题。相控阵天线回波调制与现有的电磁调控技术有本质的不同,除了要对反射波进行信息调控,还要在相当带宽、扫描空域、大功率情况下保持高传输,因而技术更加复杂,难度更大。文中重点论述了有源FSS 在时域雷达散射截面调制中的一些理论性问题、关键技术、解决途径,期望对其未来发展有所帮助。

Active frequency selective surface (FSS) originated from passive FSS by loading active elements. Since the loaded elements are variable, the response performance of active FSS subsequently can be controlled for example by adjusting the reflected coefficient phase to construct a digital electromagnetic information surface which has been applied in mobile communication system. How to add transmission ability and provide it with the function of the modulation of echo wave upon the array then make the phased array more powerful become a new problem. Echo modulator on phased array is much different from the existed electromagnetics control surface because besides electromagnetics control of reflected wave it should promise high transmission in the wide bandwidth, within wide scan angles and under high power. Therefore, the techniques are more complex and difficult to realize. In this paper, the theoretical problems about active FSS in time-domain modulation of RCS are discussed and the key technology as well as the probable solutions are presented, with hope to be helpful for its further development.
