The outer surveillance principle of the large phased array is discussed here. Its performances and construction rules are analyzed also. Based on the error transfer model, this paper shows the achievable precision through modifying the amplitude and phase errors of the phased array channels by use of the outer surveillance method. An example is presented at last.
